OSZASF people are individuals who hail from Orlu Senatorial Zone of Imo State in Southeastern part of Nigeria, in West Africa. Imo State of Nigeria is divided into three senatorial zones, namely, Imo East, Imo West, and Imo North. Orlu Senatorial Zone of Imo State Nigeria. The entire Imo State is located in the Southeastern, Ibo language speaking part of Nigeria. The local government areas that make up Orlu Senatorial Zone (Imo West), are: Ideato North, Ideato South, Isu, Njaba, Nwangele, Nkwerre, Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema, Orlu, Orsu, Our East, and Our West Local Government Areas.
- History OSZASF was founded in Miami South Florida by a group of members who had a need to support each other, in the early 1990s. The Association is registered with Florida State Government as a non-profit Organization. The earliest members saw a need to assemble Orlu Senatorial Zone indigenes in South Florida, into a close-knit group to help them stay positive, focused on their survival, and assist each other, by sharing information and Resources. The association has since grown into a large body with a membership of over 100 individuals.
- Vision: OSZASF envisions an association that will foster positive values among members and ensure good contributions to our host communities in South Florida as well as Imo State of Nigeria.
- Mission: Our mission is to create an association/community of members, assist and protect each other’s interests and to organize projects and activities that will foster progress among members and our host communities.
- Objectives: Our core objectives are to create and sustain the association, accommodate new members, nurture, and develop future leaders among members and carry out projects and activities as chosen by members and executives.
- Core Values: Our core values are Integrity, Peace, Godly and Progressive Interactions and sustaining our core African cultures among our future generations.

ACTIVITIES: OSZASF activities are geared towards fostering a good relationship between member families and individuals. OSZASF maintains a strong connect between members and seeks to uphold each other at all times. We also are involved in Corporate Social Responsibilities as well as socio-economic intervention activities that seek to assist our communities.
- Regular Meetings: OSZASF hosts monthly meetings to sustain discussions on on-going projects, assist member families as the need arises as well as to conduct prayers for all members.
- Cultural events /Affiliates: On a regular basis, OSZASF hosts cultural festivals that showcase our African cultural heritage. We have dances and African masquerade shows. We are affiliated to other associations of Orlu Senatorial Zone indigenes in other cities in the United States of America. Our umbrella body in America is ORA USA.
- Seminars and Symposia: OSZASF organizes seminars and symposia to educate our member families and host communities about burning issues such as Health, Insurance and retirement issues, COVID-19 Pandemic etc.
- Annual Conventions: Every year, OSZASF is involved in a convention that is hosted by ORA USA and hosted on a rotational basis among the various affiliate associations.
MEDICAL MISSIONS: OSZASF Medical Mission is an intervention program that provides Medicaid in Africa by way of providing drugs, free medical treatments as well as financial assistance with medical bills in Imo State of Nigeria, funded by OSZASF as an association. Medical Missions also distributes food as a hunger relief to communities in Imo State of Nigeria. OSZASF also provides economic palliatives to alleviate poverty in Imo communities by funding MSMEs for youth and rural women.
VALUE CONTRIBUTIONS
- Trainings/Awareness: OSZASF conducts trainings and seminars for members and youth to teach them best ways to handle burning issues such as job hunting, participation in politics, reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic. OSZASF also organizes motivational talks to empower members to further their education and pursue higher careers.
- Donations: OSZASF also pools funds through regular contributions by member and sponsor organizations to fund our activities.
- Scholarships: On regular basis, OSZASF pays financial contributions to select youth from member families as well as from our host communities, to assist them in funding their education.
- CSR: OSZASF regularly contributes to charities such as Camillus House and Mother Theresa. The association has a strong compassion for the downtrodden members of our society. We are committed to expanding goodwill among humanity.
