WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENT OF ORLU SENATORIAL ZONE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH FLORIDA ( OSZASF), INC.
MAZI PAULINUS NWAOBI, President

Honorable commissioners, ORAUSA National president and Executives, ORAUSA Affiliates and their presidents, ORAUSA executives (past and present), local patrons and esteemed members, distinguished guests, friends and well-wishers, ladies and gentlemen. It is with great honor and pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you to the website of OSZASF, incorporated under, 501 (c) (3) as a nonprofit organization.

The formation of OSZASF many years ago was the brainchild of a few individuals under the able leadership of Chief Godwin Nwaobi (Eze Ndi Orlu). Thereafter, OSZASF has grown to become the rallying point for all Orlu indigenes in South Florida offering equal membership status for both men and women. It is remarkable, that since the inception of OSZASF, its membership has grown by leaps and bounds. This is partly due to the excellent way the fine men and women of OSZASF conduct their activities and relate with our other Igbo neighbors and Nigerian communities. OSZASF truly values and appreciates its members and surrounding communities.

Since its inception, these growths were made possible by the unbridged acts of successive administrations. I can proudly say, that we are blessed with the finest professionals who serve in executive positions. They are all amazing! I am also able to utilize the professional input and advice from some of the committee members, who function more like an extension of the executive. At this juncture, please, allow me to make a mention of my dear wife and OSZASF First Lady, lady Martina Nwaobi for the unalloyed support, love, and great understanding of the purpose to serve our communities with dignity and honor.

At our core, we are driven by a shared purpose to empower and uplift our communities. Hence in the past, OSZASF has carried out internal fundraising activities the proceeds of which were used for the maintenance of primary school buildings and equipment in various Orlu communities. This time around, we are embarking on building a Community Hall. Building such a hall will create jobs in our communities. It will also grant us unrestricted access when we chose to organize events. Our members and surrounding communities can also rent the hall at discounted rates.

As it stands now, we cannot achieve building this hall solely by ourselves. As our elders say “ Animals scratch their backs on trees but human beings scratch one another’s back”.
Through this association website, we aim to create a digital hub where you can stay informed, engaged, and connected. Here you will find updates on our ongoing projects, upcoming events and ways to get involved. We encourage you to explore and learn about the impact we are making and join us in our efforts to create positive change.

Furthermore, this website serves as a platform for open dialogue and collaboration. Your ideas, suggestions, and feedback are important to us. We believe in the power of collective wisdom and seek to build a strong network of individuals who share our vision for a better future. Together, we can amplify our impact and bring about lasting change in our association and communities. We sincerely count on all the help you can give us financially for the construction of this anticipated Hall. We equally count on partnerships with our neighbors, fellow affiliates, ORAUSA national bodies and members, local communities, friends, etc. We are open to any donation and sponsorship of any kind as a non-profit organization. Nothing is too big, and nothing is too small. As it is said, the ultimate measure of an individual is not where he/she stands in moments of comfort but where he/she stands at times of challenge and need.

I am excited about what lies ahead and the transformative possibilities we can achieve together. I assure you that our non-profit status under 501 (C)(3) enables us to pursue our mission with utmost dedication and transparency. We are accountable and strive to ensure that every action aligns with our core values and the trust reposed in us. On behalf of the executives, the subsidiary committees, and all members of OSZASF, thank you for your continued support. I wish you God’s protection at all times.

Long live OSZASF! Long live Imo State! Long live Nigeria! Love live the United States of America!

Kind regards,
Paulinus Nwaobi
